Yunnan Polytechnic College

Yunnan Polytechnic College is a full-time general higher vocational college jointly invested and held by Yunnan Energy Investment Group, a large state-owned enterprise in Yunnan Province, and Yunnan Xinghan Education Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary company of Hanwen Education Investment Group. Located in Anning Vocational Education Park, the college covers an area of 35.5 hectares with a planned building area of 480000 square meters and a total investment of 2 billion RMB.

The college has three sub-level colleges including College of Architecture and Engineering, Big Data College, and Shenzhou High-speed Railway College. It offers six majors includes Construction Engineering Technology, Engineering Cost, Software Technology, Big Data Technology and Application, Mechanical and Electrical Technology of Urban Rail Transportation, and Operation and Management of Urban Rail Transportation. The college also operates assembly training promotion center, rail transit comprehensive training center, big data training center, BIM engineering center, construction engineering comprehensive training center, and other comprehensive training platforms that create excellent conditions for the development of students' practical ability.

The majors are set to aim at the key developing industry in Yunnan Province in consideration of the current and future developing direction of the industries as well as focusing on the industrial layout of Yunnan energy investment group,refletcting the industry's demand for high-quality technical talents. The majors are mainly science and engineering related. In the future, the college will gradually add major disciplines such as civil engineering, water conservancy, manufacturing, electronic information, material and energy, transportation, finance and economics as well as adjust the major setting according to the needs of economic and social development in consideration of the situation of the college.
